Microblading is a semi-permanent eyebrow technique that uses a fine manual blade to deposit pigment into the superficial layers of the dermis in precise, hair-like strokes. The result is incredibly natural-looking brows that mimic the appearance of real eyebrow hairs — ideal for clients who want definition and fullness while maintaining a soft, natural aesthetic. Microblading results typically last 12–18 months before a color refresh is needed.
Powder brows (also called ombre brows or shaded brows) use a digital permanent makeup machine to deposit pigment in a soft, stippled pattern that resembles the look of precisely applied brow powder or pencil. The result is more defined and polished than microblading — with a gradient effect that is lighter at the front of the brow and deeper toward the tail. Powder brows typically last 2–3 years and are particularly well-suited for oily skin types.
Skin type: Microblading works beautifully on normal to dry skin. On oily skin, the individual hair strokes can blur over time. Powder brows retain their shape better on oily skin types. Desired look: If you want hyper-natural results that look like real brow hairs, microblading is the technique. For a more groomed, filled-in appearance, powder brows are the choice. Longevity: Powder brows last longer — 2–3 years vs 12–18 months for microblading. Combination (Ombre/Hybrid Brows): Many clients opt for a combination of both techniques — microbladed strokes in the front for softness, with powder shading throughout for depth and longevity.

The initial healing takes 10–14 days, during which the brows will appear darker and may flake. Full pigment settling takes 4–6 weeks. A touch-up appointment at 6–8 weeks perfects the final result.
